Last night we had our bookclub discussion at Becky's House.
We discussed the book we had just read:
The Screwtape Letters
by C.S. Lewis
We had an interesting discussion about Lewis' religious affiliations. In researching Lewis on the internet,
we found that he is an Athiest.
How interesting -
We talked about how he could be an atheist and yet write so many interesting books that deal with God, Heaven, and the Devil.
We finally came to the conclusion that he is such an intellectual that maybe he just couldn't affiliate with any organized religious sect and he probably dabbled in every Christian religion to understand its philosophies.
Our next book was picked by Jeni - and it's going to be:

"Speak"
by Laurie Halse Anderson
Should be interesting to read since its about date rape and the school district just implemented it
into the 9th-10th grade reading curriculum.
Next Book Club will be on July 7th
