Book club was awesome last night!
We went to Jeni's for a great meal, and discussed the book,
SPEAK
by Laurie Halse Anderson
We all loved the book and had a great discussion on it.
What message was the author trying to relay in this book?
We concluded that it was to SPEAK up when something like that happens.
It will get better as time goes by and if that person has someone to talk to.
Talking about it can make a big difference.
On the other end of the spectrum - be a good listener -
Be aware of others and their challenges & trials they are facing.
Be open and willing to listen and help where needed.
